Abdominoplasty / Tummy Tuck

Pregnancy is one of life's miracles. It can also bring about certain changes within the body. Dr. Sarbak and his experienced staff have the ability to help address some of these "side effects".

During an abdominal evaluation Dr. Sarbak will assess the amount and quality of the patients's skin, the thickness and distribution of the fatty layer, and the location of the abdominal wall muscles.

This analysis helps to formulate a treatment plan that may involve skin excision, liposuction, or abdominal muscle tightening or any combination thereof.

The goal is to create a contour in the abdominal area approaching what it was prior to pregnancy. In certain situations it can even create an appearance better than your pre-pregnancy shape.

Recent improvments in the tummy tuck technique allow Dr. Sarbak to avoid the use of drains in the vast majority of cases. This seems to improve patient comfort postoperatively. This particular approach also allows additional tightening of the upper abdomen. The upper abdominal area was not particularly well addressed by traditional abdominoplasty operation.
